Elbow Pain
The elbow hurts from a few reasons, 2 of which I will address are tennis and golf. When these 2 sports are played with any types of duration the forearm muscles become tight. The forearm muscles contract and contract and contract some more. With no stretching/ lengthening of these muscles in place it eventually becomes a major problem.
Another concept with particularly golf and tennis is that there is impact (stick to ball) at a higher velocity, with the wrist being used to continue the forward propulsion. The impact does not stop at the end of the stick and ball, instead the velocity with the sudden shock continues into the fingers, through the wrist and stops at the elbow joint. This is why the common term of "golfers" and "tennis" elbow developed.
